The ultimate mission of Why Community is to improve the physical and mental health of our community.
.
Funds collected through WHY Community will be used to offer FREE race registrations to identified at-risk populations to ultimately:
- Encourage participants to set and accomplish a physically and mentally challenging goal.
- Help participants to overcome physical, mental and emotional challenges.
- Provide opportunities to participants that develop strength of body and mind.
- Inspire participants to do what it takes to reach the finish line.
- Allow participants the means to experience a significant boost to their confidence, self-esteem and self-worth as they overcome obstacles.
- Provide participants with concrete evidence that they are brave, courageous and stronger than they think they are.
